About Troy
A working life grounded in the region.
I’m a farmer, father and long-time local who has worked across farming, transport, butchery and real estate. Those experiences have shown me how decisions made far from regional communities affect everyday people here in Oxley.

Why run again?
Oxley should not be treated as a safe seat that can be taken for granted. I believe when the major parties assume the result, our electorate loses leverage.
As an Independent, I can judge every proposal on whether it works for local people—not whether it suits a party room, faction or Sydney media cycle.
This campaign will continue building on the issues local people have raised while developing practical, costed policies through direct community consultation.

Roads that do not wreck cars
Push the State to take responsibility for major regional routes, reduce cost-shifting to councils and fund safer, properly maintained roads.

Health workers in the regions
Use secure jobs, housing, training and regional incentives to recruit and retain doctors, nurses, aged-care workers, dentists and other essential professionals.

Housing with practical pathways
Support emergency amenities now, more diverse housing, worker accommodation, regional building pathways and homes located alongside secure jobs.

Flood and bushfire readiness
Prioritise mitigation, land management, warning systems, fuel reduction and honest review of agencies responsible for disaster preparedness.

Local jobs and value adding
Back farming, forestry, manufacturing, abattoirs, tourism and locally owned enterprises that turn regional resources into secure regional work.

Accountable government spending
Scrutinise grants, stalled announcements and projects that do not meet community needs. Publish the evidence and follow the money.

Housing, workers, roads, education, health and industry are not separate problems. A functioning regional economy needs them to work together.

Pair workforce recruitment with family-friendly accommodation, secure employment, training pathways and incentives to stay in regional communities.

Rebuild practical pathways
Strengthen TAFE, vocational learning and life-skills education so young people can train locally for real jobs that exist locally.
Land and environment
Manage, restore and protect
Demand active management of weeds, feral animals, fire risk and habitat — alongside sustainable industries and local environmental accountability.
Integrity
No more announcement politics
Track promises from announcement through funding, construction and delivery, and challenge expenditure that fails a basic public-interest test.

Oxley covers 9,325 square kilometres and had 64,924 enrolled electors as at 3 February 2026. A representative has to understand the coast, valleys, towns, farms and mountain communities — not just appear at election time.

I first stood as an Independent for Oxley in 2023 and later contested the 2024 Kempsey Shire Council election. Every campaign has taught me more about our communities and the challenges they face.
As this campaign develops, I’ll continue updating my policies, explain any changes and make previous commitments available so people can judge my record for themselves.
